Castelsardo excursions
Departure from the hotel by coach GT, to reach Castelsardo, small medieval town located on a hill directly on the sea. The town, built in the 1000 d.C. presents also today the rest of the past cultures. The historical centre is the most interesting part: old monuments and the castle, which also today dominates the town.
Departure by bus from the Hotel to Castelsardo (about 30-45 minutes drive). Lunch in a restaurant upon arrival. In the afternoon, visit to the village located at the top for a rocky promontory as a fortress overlooking the port, founded by the Genoan family Doria. It still preserves the castle and most of the fortifications, where beautiful baskets woven with palm leaves can be admired in the Museum of weave. In the historic centre the group can visit the Cathedral of S. Antonio Abate. In the town centre many artisan's workshops offer a wide range of typical products. On the way back to the hotel the group will make a short stop to take a funny picture of the Elephant shaped rock.
