Departure by coach to Tempio Pausania's station. Here an old train will be waiting with the antique coaches. Constructed in the 1930's by Breda and now perfectly restored to her former glory, this day out will leave lasting memories. The tour begins through the town of Tempio (600m above sea level), famous for it's historic centre built in the locally quarried red granite.
Then it continues on to Calangianus, whose main industry is the production of cork exported to France to cork the better wines and granite. Then the train follows a scenic route up into the hills to see the dam of Liscia (that supplies the Costa Smeralda with water), passing through many vineyards, Cork tree woods and granite plateaux.
Here there will be a stop in the woods over looking the lake and under a big oak tree, on granite tables, a snack based entirely on typical Sardinia products will be offered to the passengers.
The tours ends at Arzachena railway station, where the group will be picked up for the lunch, in typical farm house by the Costa Smeralda area. Return to the hotel after the lunch.
